The Indianapolis Colts appear unlikely to make a move for Lamar Jackson.

Head coach Shane Steichen shot down the possibility of exploring a trade for a quarterback like the Baltimore Ravens star Wednesday.

"We're focused on the draft, and I'm focused on the players that are in the building right now," Steichen said, according to The Athletic's Zak Keefer.

Colts general manager Chris Ballard said last month that the team would consider making a move for Jackson.

The Baltimore Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on the former league MVP and are adamant they want to retain him. Jackson said he requested a trade on March 2 due to the team's lack of interest in meeting his value.

Indianapolis holds the No. 4 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and may use the selection on a quarterback. The team reportedly brought in C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson, Will Levis, and Hendon Hooker for visits.

The Colts' internal options include Nick Foles, Sam Ehlinger, and Gardner Minshew, who signed as a free agent this offseason.
