Hamilton’s Hart Store reopens on Kenilworth Avenue North

Hart Stores has reopened its Hamilton location in the city's east end.

The Montreal-based discount chain was a long-term tenant of the now-shuttered Hamilton City Centre.

The long-ailing mall downtown is currently being demolished to make way for a development, which looks to add a handful of new condo towers to the core.

Hart is now located at 276 Kenilworth Ave. N., near the Centre on Barton.

The company opened its original Hamilton location in 2006, and it was closed for several months after an arson fire in November 2009 left behind significant smoke damage.

The store reopened in March 2010 and moved out of the mall this past December. The chain has locations across Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
