Hamilton police arrest man in firearms investigation in Rosedale
Hamilton police arrested a man early Wednesday evening as part of a firearms investigation in the Rosedale neighbourhood.
The arrest came at a residence," but police offered no further details.
Police tweeted that drones were used during the investigation.
Just after 6 p.m., police had warned the public to stay away from the area near the Red Hill Valley Trail where Lawrence Road meets King Street East.
A police vehicle had been stationed at the entrance to the Red Hill Valley Trail parking lot, and police said roads would be closed and traffic impacted" near Lawrence and Martin Road, as well as around Parkdale Avenue South and Sylvia Crescent.
At 6:30 p.m., a police spokesperson said roads in the area should reopen soon.
