Winchester XPR vs Mauser M18

Winchester XPR sportier in .308 or Mauser M18 in .308

Im looking to buy my first hunting rifle, the Mauser and Winchester is in a nice price range for me to get started. I want to know if anyone has one of the two weapons and if they have any opinions. Tikka T3 in 30.06 is another option but my father has a SAKO 30.06 so want to get a different caliber gun.
