Trying to find my first pistol, any suggestions?

I've looked into the Glock 19 MOS and Glock 43x, which both seem like perfect options for my needs (personal defense), but i've also heard about Shadow Systems and how their form and function is similar to the Glock.

I do plan on getting optics and potential upgrades.

I've personally never been a huge gun guy, but this world yields the need for protection and i think it's time i man up and get what i need.

What do you guys suggest?
