How to pack a Henry AR-7 to check on an airplane in the United States???

I was wondering if any of y'all knew or had experience checking an AR-7 in baggage and whether TSA would allow me to store my in loaded mags in the buttstock along with the other rifle components locked inside a hard plastic container or if I have to lay them separately in the case.
