Burlington man killed in crash involving motorcycle outside of Waterdown
A Burlington man was killed in a collision involving a motorcycle outside of Waterdown Monday evening.
In a media release, Hamilton police said at around 4:40 p.m. on May 15, a Kawasaki motorcycle and Dodge Caravan collided in front of Aldershot Greenhouses Ltd. on Concession 5 Road East.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 32-year-old Burlington man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the van, a 37-year-old non-Canadian resident, stayed at the scene and is co-operating with investigators, according to police.
The collision reconstruction unit has taken over the investigation. A stretch of Concession 5 Road East was closed for several hours as police began the probe.

The crash marks the sixth traffic fatality of 2023 and the third involving a motorcycle.
It comes days after a Hamilton man riding an allegedly stolen motorcycle died following a two-vehicle collision on the Mountain in the early evening hours of May 12.
