Is this the winning ticket?"

A running joke between Mark Johnston of Lynden and Derek Johnston of Brantford has the pair laughing all the way to the bank.

The pair matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in a recent LOTTO MAX draw, winning $100,000.

Derek and Mark, who work together in the printing industry, always send each other pictures of their tickets and jokingly ask, Is this the winning ticket," according to an OLG release.

It proved to be May 9.

I was shocked and happy," said Derek of the win. I texted Mark to tell him about the win and he didn't answer. His wife had to wake him up."

With his share of the winnings, Derek said he plans to purchase a new set of golf clubs, while Mark shared plans to pay some bills and buy a new lawn mower.

As for their coworkers? They want to know when the pizza party is," said Derek when picking up their prize at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

According to the OLG, the winning ticket was purchased at Good Luck Variety in Brantford.
