Police release name of woman charged with deadly Burlington hit-and-run crash
Halton police have released the name of a 41-year-old North York woman who has been charged with involvement in a hit-and-run crash that killed an 81-year-old cyclist in Burlington on Thursday, May 18.
The collision occurred at around 2:30 p.m., in the area of North Shore Boulevard- under the QEW bridge.
The cyclist was allegedly struck by a driver who police say did not remain on the scene.
Police asked the public for help in locating the vehicle involved, believed to be a recent model year silver VW Jetta, or similar four-door vehicle with damage to the front right, the hood and windshield.
Investigators from the Halton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit announced Wednesday, May 24 that they had made an arrest in this case.
Ji Feng, 41, of North York has been charged with failing to stop after an accident resulting in death and careless driving causing death.
