Man, 28, arrested after woman fatally stabbed in Greater Manchester

Woman, 51, died at scene after she was found with stab wounds in Edge Lane, Droylsden, on Friday

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was stabbed to death in Greater Manchester, police have said.

Officers were called to Edge Lane, near the Ashton Canal in Droylsden, at about midday on Friday. A 51-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
