Former police watchdog chief Michael Lockwood charged with rape of girl

Lockwood, 64, is accused of six counts of indecent assault and three counts of rape against girl under 16
The former head of the police watchdog has been charged with raping a girl in the 1980s.
The Crown Prosecution Service said Michael Lockwood, 64, who headed the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) until last year, had been charged with nine sexual offences.
