Art gallery and cafe opens on Ottawa Street North
A new art gallery and cafe space has opened its doors in Hamilton's textile district.
Crown and Press, nestled amongst the shops on Ottawa Street North, hosted its grand opening on June 16.
The space, once home to a fitness equipment store, has been completely renovated, with pink accent walls, art-deco inspired decor, plenty of seating and an art gallery, according to its website.
The cafe will be serving up coffee, tea, lattes and baked goods, with plans for pop-ups with local chefs.
The art gallery, curated by Hamilton artist Julia Veenstra, will feature works from more than 30 artists from across Canada. Original works and prints will be available for sale.
Crown and Press is located at 303 Ottawa St. N. in Hamilton's Crown Point West neighbourhood.
