‘Permanently closed’: Buffalo Wild Wings shutters Ancaster location
An Ancaster chain eatery known for its chicken wings and cold pints has closed its doors.
Buffalo Wild Wings appears to have shuttered its Golf Links Road location in recent days, with photos posted to social media showing that the signage on the facade of the restaurant removed and a note posted on the door noting that spot is permanently closed."
The Spectator has reached out to the company for comment on the closure, which comes just a month after the chain abruptly closed its Stoney Creek spot in early May.
At that time, a spokesperson told Hamilton Community News that the company had made the difficult decision" to close the Centennial Parkway North location, however they hoped their guests would continue to dine" with them in Ancaster or Mississauga.
The Ancaster location is still listed on the company's website, alongside what appears to be the last two remaining Ontario locations in Windsor and Mississauga.
The Google page for the Golf Links Road restaurant also notes that it's permanently closed.
CTV News Toronto reported back in May that the American-owned chicken wing restaurant chain had shuttered several Canadian locations, including those in Oakville, London, Ajax and Vaughan.
While the spokesperson did not provide any insight into the reasoning behind the closures, the spokesperson told CTV News Toronto that the company routinely evaluates locations to serve out guests best."
