Leap 15.5 no cd/dvd

My system completely ignores the dvd drive on my Lenovo t530. From the terminal, I can see the hardware, but there is no /dev/sr0, apparently no tmp files, no /dev files that I can find. The drive has worked with Debian, with Robo, and with Fedora 38. It just doesn't work with openSUSE, and I cannot figure out how to fix it.
