Can I install Linux without any external media?

I guess the answer will be "No," but I don't keep up with the novelties and things happen sometimes that I don't know of and will surprise me later.
So, let's say I have:
- computer with Linux installed and running
- Linux ISO image
- a secondary, empty hard disk
Can I install the Linux in the ISO image on the empty hard disk right from the Linux that is already running?
Worth a shot.
