Audio Issue with Arch Linux Installation (Volume Stuck at Max)
by funlink from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6CWJY)
Hey,
I recently installed Arch Linux alongside my Windows 11 installation (on a separate drive), and I'm encountering an audio problem that I can't seem to resolve. Whenever I try to play a YouTube video or any other audio, the volume behaves strangely. When I set it to 0%, no sound is produced (as expected). However, if I increase the volume to even 1%, it jumps to the maximum level and remains stuck at 100% regardless of further adjustments.
Here are some additional details about my setup:
- Desktop Environment: KDE
- Display Server: Xorg (X11)
- Audio Server: Pipewire
If anyone has encountered a similar problem or knows of a potential solution, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you in advance for your help!
Please let me know if any other information would be helpful in diagnosing this issue.
Cheers!
