changed motherboard linux boot failed

Hi ,had to change my motherboard recently.after changing fedora is not booting.live fedora cd runs perfect,can reach home folder.linux rescue working fine.is it bcos of driver issues in old initr?I don't know how to use mkinitrd.help requested.also any other suggestions highly appreciated.tia.
