Debian 12 Install - 2012 MacBook Pro - Trying to Find BCM4331 Firmware
by killingthemonkey from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6D5VC)
Sorry for the Cross post, but was getting no traction in the Debian forum.
Here is everything I have posted so far:
-----
Specifically b43-open/ucode29_mimo.fw and b43/ucode29_mimo.fw
Apparently, my Google-fu is not up to the task. Can someone point me in the right direction.
Thank you, for your help.

OK... Think I might have found them. Maybe. I've dug into the Debian CD image page and found an ISO of firmware, that includes firmware-brcm80211_20210315-3_all.deb.
But when I try to extract it, I receive this:
Code:[user@EndeavourMonkey Experiments]$ ar x firmware-brcm80211_20210315-3_all.deb
ar: firmware-brcm80211_20210315-3_all.deb: No such file or directoryAnd the file is in the directory.
Code:[user@EndeavourMonkey Experiments]$ ls
firmware-brcm80211_20210315-3_all.deb-----
Well, after several moments poking at it with a sharp stick, I figured out that the red X on the icon was a clue. Broken symlink.
Was able to go back to the ISO and extract the file to the folder using Ark.
Now to see if the file has the firmware that I need.
-----
And it apparently does not.
-----
Or, if I could find an easy driver download for my TP-Link Nano, RTL8811AU.
I don't have an ethernet connection available so I am doing the USB shuffle.
-----
Well, I found a driver for the Nano, but the install requires that the kernel headers be installed. I can find the 5.1 headers... but not the 6.1 headers...
