recent libX11 patch and XView

I have built the XView library using B. Watson's slackbuild https://slackbuilds.org/repository/1...braries/xview/ and the sources from T. Konojacki. I could use textedit, cmdtool and the other Open Look/XView programs without problem. Then, after upgrading to libX11-1.8.6-i586-1_slack15.0, the XView programs stopped to run except olvwm. Bruce Watson has confirmed that behavior and noticed with strace that the programs were stopped at a futex() call. After downgrading to libX11-1.7.3, the XView programs were working again. So the recent changes in libX11 make it incompatible with XView. Personnally, I am not much affected by this, since I run these XView programs on an old 32bit machine, but it would be interesting to understand the cause of the problem and find some patch for XView that would allow it to work with recent libX11.
