Howdy

I'm new to Linux. It's something that I've wanted to do for many years, but I kept procrastinating. What finally prodded me was MS Windows 11. I have perfectly good hardware except for the TPM requirement, and I'm not willing to upgrade.
I am retired. I worked in IT since the mid 70's, with most of those years as an IBM Mainframe Computer Programmer. I've been using PCs since the DOS days.
I chose Linux Mint, based on suggestions from my IT friends, and I went with the Cinnamon desktop. I've installed it on two machines, a fairly old one as well as a newer one. The old one was a test run. I made the newer one dual boot with Windows 10, and I did that because it was sort of a bucket list item.
I'm having fun.
