XSane problem

Hello I've a problem by XSane under slackware 15 x86-64 stable and scannre usb HP ScanJect 3400C, and I plug a device when i need...Sane recnognize my device.
When I start to scan one or two pages it works correctly, but when pages are much more once a time XSane going to deadlock, so I must stop & kill a process, or sometimes XSane scan half face skipping the rest; on the same case lamp going to start position and start to blink.
Sometimeas to resole I must reboot pc and disconnect-reconnect device, bat make nervous. I try to change the gui but problems remains. How can resolve it! Thanks!
