Love: Packers' offense not on same page yet

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love doesn't like what he's seen from the team's offense at training camp lately.

"I don't think we're being consistent. ... It just comes down to us being on the same page. I don't think we have that right now," Love said after Tuesday's practice, according to Adriana Torres of ABC Green Bay. "We're still growing, going through those growing pains."

He added, "It sucks when we have days where we're just not putting it together. There wasn't a lot of juice out there from us."

The Packers' defensive unit has beaten the offense in every competition period so far at camp, according to The Athletic's Matt Schneidman.

"It's very frustrating," Love added, per Ryan Wood of USA Today. "I think we're all very tired of it. Kudos to the defense, but obviously it's disappointing as an offense. Collectively, as a whole, it's definitely an area we need to step up."

The Packers turned to Love under center this year after trading four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets. Love, who's been praised by several teammates this offseason, has started only one game since being drafted in the first round in 2020.

Green Bay's wide receiver depth chart also lacks experience, as no wideout has more than a year of NFL experience.

Meanwhile, the Packers' defense is returning most of its starters and features several proven players, including defensive lineman Kenny Clark and cornerback Jaire Alexander.

Green Bay - which missed the playoffs in 2022 after going 8-9 - kicks off its 2023 regular season on the road against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 10.
