USB-Wifi Adapter with out-of-the-box linux support that supports AP mode
by wh33t from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6DGK0)
I would like to periodically turn my PC into a hotspot.
The Trendnet USB Wifi adpater I have doesn't appear to work (at least not in Linux Mint 21.2) as a hotspot. When I do
Code:iw listNothing comes up and I've been told that because this wifi chip cannot be turned into an access point/ad-hoc
This is the wifi adapter I have been trying to get working but failing: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
So if you know of a USB-Wifi adapter that works out of the box on Linux and supports the modes I need to achieve this AND is available on Amazon canada please link it to me.
Please and thank you :D
