How to stop GNOME 40 from detecting monitors temporarily.
by Luk from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6DGT9)
As in the title. Gnome 40 detects an additional monitor and switches desktop resolution when it is plugged in. The monitor has more than one input and when a different input is selected gnome 40 disables that additional monitor changing the desktop resolution/moving windows on to the remaining monitor etc.
How do I stop this?
I've found people asking the same very question as far back as 2011 on Linux desktop. There were no answers except one answer that worked briefly in Gnome 3 days. So I wonder, does anyone have a solution for this in 2023?
