Slackware Live: `kdesu` not working

I have recently downloaded "slackware64-live-15.0.iso" and "liveslak-1.7.0.tar.xz" and have used iso2usb.sh to create a Slackware Live Edition USB stick, with a "persistence.img" file: I'm quite satisfied with it so far.

There is however a small problem: `kdesu` doesn't work. I have not changed any user passwords: "root" for root and "live" for the live user, respectively. In a shell `su` works just fine.

Attempted use:
  1. Alt-F2 -> "kdesu krusader"
  2. Krusader -> Tools -> Start Root Mode Krusader

On some systems, you need to be in a special group (often: wheel) to use this program.
