Customize Slackware Installation Image (DVD/ISO/USB)

Hello everyone,
I've come across some excellent guides and tips online about creating custom live images from Slackware. Specifically, Liveslack even allows the exclusion of certain package sets, making it possible to generate tailored images for specific use cases. I'm currently wondering if there's similar documentation or automation available for creating customized installation images. I'm interested in crafting a minimal USB installation stick that only contains packages necessary for my intended use. This would include packages from the official distribution as well as some I've compiled myself from slackbuilds.org.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to select these additional packages from slackbuilds.org as a separate category or categories within the installer's package set selection. Has anyone here undertaken such a task or can point me towards relevant documentation?
