Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is thrilled with new offensive coordinator Todd Monken.

"It's great," Jackson said during the broadcast of the Ravens' preseason game, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. "I've been sending him plays of stuff I've been seeing, and he's been putting them in practice, and they're working. So it's like, I'm glad he's listening to me, man."

Monken was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Georgia over the last three seasons. He helped lead the Bulldogs to back-to-back national championships, with the team scoring 98 points combined in those games.

The 57-year-old also served as the offensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns in 2019 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2018. The Bucs led the league in passing yards under Monken.

"The meeting room - I wish you guys could see the meeting rooms," Jackson said. "He's full of expressing what he's got going on in his mind. His mind is everywhere. It's like, 'I love you as a coach right now.' You know, I'm grateful for him."

Monken is Jackson's third offensive coordinator since he entered the NFL in 2018. Marty Mornhinweg was the Ravens' offensive coordinator during Jackson's rookie campaign before he was replaced by Greg Roman, who departed the team in January.

Jackson is set to return for Week 1 after missing the final 10 games of last season due to a knee injury. The Louisville product signed a five-year, $260-million deal with the team in April.

The Ravens kick off their campaign Sept. 10 against the Houston Texans.
