How to create special devices for mounting usb drives
by JinxsDad from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6DSTD)
I'm missing either /dev/sdba2 or /dev/sdb2, which are mount points for two 4TB external drives (can't tell you which is which because they ignore the listings in /etc/fstab and seem to randomly choose one device or another.
Anyways, the drives are mostly mirrors of each other, so I've had one of them offline since the severe thunderstorm that took out my networking. Anyways, one of the two /dev files is now missing, so I can't mount the second drive. I have forgotten (thank chemobrain from cancer #1) how to create those device files.
So, can someone refresh my memory on creating device files?
Thanks
