The Document Foundationhas announcedthe release of LibreOffice7.6 Community. It is the last releaseusing the existing numbering scheme as the office suite will move to date-basedrelease numbers starting with LibreOffice24.2 inFebruary,2024. Highlights of this release include support fordocument themes, including import and export of them, a new navigationpanel for Impress and Draw, zoom-gesture support, font-handlingimprovements, and lots more; the releasenotes have all the details.
LibreOffice7.6 Community's new features have been developed by148contributors:61% of code commits are from the52 developers employed bythree companies sitting in TDF's Advisory Board - Collabora, Red Hat andallotropia - or other organizations,15% are from7 developers at TheDocument Foundation, and the remaining24% are from89 individualvolunteers.

Other202 volunteers - representing hundreds of other people providingtranslations - have committed localizations in160 languages. LibreOffice7.6 Community is released in120 different language versions, more than anyother free or proprietary software, and as such can be used in the nativelanguage (L1) by over5.4 billion people worldwide. In addition, over2.3billion people speak one of those120 languages as their second language(L2).
