The 21-year-old led the team in receiving yards against the Cowboys, hauling in three catches for 58 yards. He has a combined six catches on seven targets for 83 yards in two preseason contests.
Dareke Young, Cody Thompson, Matt Landers, and Jake Bobo are behind Smith-Njigba on the Seahawks' wide receiver depth chart. D'Wayne Eskridge is suspended for the first six games of the season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
Seattle selected Smith-Njigba 20th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. He only played in three games at Ohio State last season due to injuries but dominated in 2021, recording 1,606 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on 95 catches.
The Seahawks kick off their season on Sept. 10 against the Los Angeles Rams.
