Hello,

I have recently purchased an ASUS ExpertBook B1500CBA-B1500.

I have tried various distributions and kernel versions:
  • Linux Mint 21.2 - Linux 5.15
  • Ubuntu 22.04 - Linux 5.15
  • Manjaro 22.1 - Linux 6.1
  • Debian 12 - Linux 6.1
  • Debian Testing - Linux 6.4
I have experienced some problems with every one of them:
  • On Linux Mint, after I suspended my laptop, I lost any wireless connection and wireless was completely unavailable. Commands like `ifconfig` were unresoponsive at this time. I also sometimes had some problems with shutting down the system as `systemd` complained `/oldroot` was still busy.
  • On Ubuntu, I still had no wireless after suspending and I couldn't shut the system down sometimes, but I also had no settings app after suspending the machine.
  • On Manjaro, after suspending the machine, I couldn't turn it back on.
  • On Debian 12 and Debian Testing, I can't turn the machine back on after suspending the machine.
I also have tried Windows 11. At first, I had no touchpad, wireless, or bluetooth support but after connecting to the Internet using Ethernet, it downloaded the required drivers automatically and everything was fine.

Here's the hardware probe by linux-hardware.org:
linux-hardware.org/?probe=243b20df85

I'm not sure what the problem is. The problem with MEDIATEK MT7921 Wireless Network Adapter seems to be more general. After getting to newer kernel versions I couldn't reproduce it and am not sure what exactly the problem is.

Thanks in advance.
