Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow declared himself "ready to go" on Wednesday ahead of Sunday's Week 1 matchup with the Cleveland Browns, according to Kelsey Conway of The Enquirer.

Burrow suffered a calf strain in late July but was able to practice fully on Wednesday following a limited return to action last week.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor was more cautious than Burrow when discussing his star's status earlier Wednesday.

"He looks good," Taylor said, according to Ben Baby of ESPN. "I think it's wise to take it day to day right now."

Burrow led Cincinnati to a 12-4 record and a second straight AFC North title last year in his third NFL season. He finished the campaign with 4,475 yards (fourth-most in the NFL) and 35 touchdowns (tied for second-most) against 12 interceptions.

The 26-year-old is in line for a potentially market-resetting contract extension but said it's "the last thing I'm thinking about right now," according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
