OBS-studio information please?

I am considering the possibility of downloading and installing OBS-studio to my Linus operating system (Slackware 15.0) for the purpose of using it to preserve my video tapes. What I would need to know before I go ahead with downloading it is whether it is possible to set it up to record from a VCR?
