Nvidia driver

Very recently I've installed Slack15 on a new Laptop, thanks to the suggestions of rizitis & Daedra that pointed me to use current to support the graphic card
Now I'm looking to the propretary driver, and I'm get quite confused after a lot of reading
As resume, my laptop has:
  • Intel Iris X3
  • RTX 4050
First, I should install driver from Nvidia, and I was thinking to use the slackbuilds from SBo. There are five different package:
  1. cg-toolkit
  2. texture-tools
  3. driver
  4. firmware
  5. kernel (there is also open kernel but should be alternative)
Has I understood, the first two can be spare, while driver and kernel should be installed (firmware should not?!). In the description of driver is named "nvidia-persistenced", and I did not get if it's needed or not, should be configured or what
Then I've found out several pages that suggest to start directly from the proprietary generic package.
Last but not least, there are pages and pages talking about optimus and bumbelbee, where I get completely lost: is bumblebee still useful? should I install it?
So, if anyone can explain to me the situation, will be really welcome to me

:)
