Enable wifi not showing
by genette from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6EX35)
I use Linux Mint 20 -xfce 64 bit (Ulyana)
I had no problem setting wifi up on my HP laptop. It just installed on it's own.
My friend is staying with me and bought an HP laptop similar to mine.
I installed the same Linux I use and it installed well.
Except, the "Enable wifi" option doesn't appear.
"All users may connect to this network" is on
At first, the bluetooth symbol showed when I hit the wifi key (airplane). But nothing now.
I tried to set up wifi manually, and type everything in like mine, but it didn't fix it. I don't have her device number, nor know where to get it. So, not sure if that is the problem...
I was going to try to Ethernet her laptop to my router, but I need to get a plug. Thinking Ethernet plug to HDMI. Have to go to my Internet company and ask.
I know some about computers, but not real techy.
Let me know if you need more information.
Thanks!
