Pushing Cython version (Slackware 15.0)
by fsbooks from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6F0Z6)
When installing numpy I upgraded to Cython-0.29.36 to allow a more current version (I used numpy-1.24.2). I've noticed multiple other SBo packages in the same situation as numpy. The numpy note:
Code:Due to the verion (sic) of Cython in Slackware 15.0, the latest version of this
python3-numpy SlackBuild will be held at 1.22.3.It was a minor version change from the Slackware Cython-0.29.27 and I have had no problems I can associate with this upgrade. Has anyone else who may have embarked on a similar (I don't think very risky) path experienced any problems?
