Running Canon Pixma PRO-200 with a Windows Sandbox in Linux Mint 21.2 Victoria
by DragonspitPublishing.Com from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6F3XB)
Hi everybody.
I'm a graphic artist, and I use Linux Mint 21.2 Victoria base: Ubuntu 22.04 jammy.
I own a Canon Pixma PRO-200 large format printer. The problem is that it seems to only work with Windows. I have a Windows hard drive that I swap to when I need to use it, but this means I have to enter BIOS and change the boot order. The screen flashes on and off when I try this. It's maddening. Plus I just really despise Windows.
My question is, can I set up a Windows sandbox on my Linux system that works with my printer model, and how do I do this? I've tried using Wine but couldn't get the drivers for my printer to download.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
