WinXP Virtual Machine can't access Internet
by Flexico from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6F7G6)
I've been googling and fiddling with settings for several days now and it still isn't connecting. I'm running Linux Mint 21.2 64-bit, with a Windows XP SP3 VirtualBox machine. Most of my old games are working great, but a few (like Bugdom and Ragdoll Matrix) say they need to download graphics drivers first. I can't figure out how to get these drivers without the VM connecting to the Web, but I apparently also need a driver for that. I tried my old WinXP drivers CD-ROM, but that won't install because it doesn't recognize my VM as being a Dell laptop, even though my physical machine is one (albeit a much newer one).
Shared folders aren't working either; the only way I found to transfer files to the VM is to make a CD ISO and mounting it with VBox. I have followed several tutorials with no success.
Please rescue my desk from my head
