Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White suffered a torn Achilles tendon in the club's win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, the team announced Monday.

White will miss the remainder of the season.

The former Pro Bowler sustained the non-contact injury while running in coverage down the right sideline.

White had been playing well in coverage to start the 2023 campaign, earning a 79 coverage grade from PFF. He finishes his season with an interception, a pair of deflections, 12 total tackles, and one tackle for loss.

The Achilles tear isn't the first serious of injury of White's career. The 28-year-old missed 16 games between 2021 and 2022 after a torn ACL sidelined him for an extended period of time.

The 5-foot-11, 192-pound cover man is under contract through 2025 after signing a four-year, $69-million extension in 2020.

White owns 18 career interceptions, 68 pass breakups, five forced fumbles, and 311 total tackles in 82 career games, all with the Bills.

In positive injury news for Buffalo, head coach Sean McDermott said that the team is opening the 21-day window for pass-rusher Von Miller to begin practicing, according to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe.

Miller began the season on the physically unable to perform list as he recovered from an ACL tear that he suffered on Thanksgiving of last season. Buffalo will have three weeks from him taking the practice field to activate him to the main roster.
