SSD mounted on POP_OS! works on MacOS?
by 0xKnR from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6FKQR)
Hi there!
I have bought a 2TB SSD that I have used with my previous laptop which was running POP_OS 22.04. I know that Linux uses EXT4 as type of files. Due to circumstances, I had to move on Windows/Mac, and decided to go with the latter;
1. Do I break the SSD ( which uses EXT4 ) if I plug it in into my mac? Or is it simply not recognized?
2. If the answer to the above question is negative, how should I go about using this SSD purely for Mac ( specifically back ups)? I already have Kali running in Parallels. Should I mount my SSD to Kali, delete any partition and go into my macOS settings to format the SSD?
To conclude, I repet that I don't want to use the SSD with both mac and Linux. Just Mac, but as of right now, it was formatted on Linux. Worried to not break anything.
Thanks!
