The San Francisco 49ers will have Brock Purdy on Sunday.

The quarterback has no injury designation ahead of Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals after clearing concussion protocol, the team announced Saturday.

Purdy entered the protocol on Wednesday - days after the team's loss to the Minnesota Vikings - and was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. He started feeling concussion symptoms on the plane ride home from Minnesota.

The second-year passer is the first NFL player this season to play the same week in which he was placed in the concussion protocol, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Purdy tossed only two touchdowns against three interceptions in his last two appearances. San Francisco lost both games, suffering back-to-back losses for the first time since October 2022.

The 23-year-old has completed 67.8% of his passes for 1,688 yards and 11 TDs to three picks in 2023 for the 5-2 Niners.

He became the 49ers' starter midway through his rookie season in 2022 after injuries sidelined Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo long term. San Francisco moved on from Garoppolo and Lance this year. Sam Darnold is the Niners' current backup QB.
