Geniatech HDStar SU6000
by gabor from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6FYRD)
I bought a "HD Digital Satellite Receiver Box (HDStar SU6000)" DVB-S tuner from Geniatech. On their website, they say that this device can also be used on a LINUX PC, but this is not true. I tried it myself, and I also asked for help on a Hungarian Linux portal.

I have used several tuners with this program for years:

The driver package that can be downloaded from Geniatech does not contain any modules for this tuner.
USB ID:
Bus 003 Device 004: ID 1f4d:6060 G-Tek Electronics Group
There are two large ICs on the panel:
- M88RS6060
- CY7C68013A
I have already written four complaint letters to Geniatech, but they have not responded to any of them for more than 3 weeks.
Does anyone have any idea what to do with it?
