Tyreek Hill says he's been a much better player since joining the Miami Dolphins than he was during his time with the Kansas City Chiefs.

"I know a whole lot more now, whether it's doing stuff off the field or just being in the locker room with the guys trying to be a leader. I'm light-years ahead of where I was back then (with Kansas City)," Hill said after Sunday's 31-17 win over the New England Patriots.

The speedster is enjoying a historic start to the 2023 season. He entered Week 8 leading the NFL in receiving yards and touchdowns. Hill caught eight passes for 112 yards and one TD versus New England en route to becoming the first player in league history to have 1,000-plus receiving yards in a season's first eight games.

"It feels great," Hill said of his performances. "I've been calling my shot since I came to the league. A lot of people doubted me (and) said I couldn't do this, couldn't do that, but it's all about believing in yourself."

A former fifth-round pick, Hill spent his first six NFL seasons with the Chiefs. He racked up 6,630 yards and 56 touchdowns in 91 regular-season appearances, helping the AFC West team win a Super Bowl title. Kansas City traded him to Miami during the 2022 offseason.

The Dolphins and Chiefs face off in Germany in Week 9.

"I'm ready, man, just another game," Hill said. "I'm just excited to play against my old brothers."

Hill said in the offseason that one of his goals in 2023 is to become the first receiver to ever top 2,000 yards.
