Sunday's matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals will be a significant one for Damar Hamlin, as it marks his first time returning to Paycor Stadium since suffering a cardiac arrest in January.

Hamlin explained his mindset ahead of the game in an interview with Christian Arnold of the New York Post.

"I don't know what to expect. You know, this is unique to me as well," the Bills defensive back said. "All I know is I'm walking in with courage, I'm walking in with strength and I'm walking in with my brothers. You know, and I'm walking in with my mom, my dad, my family. And I'm walking into, you know, an environment of people that supported me the entire time.

"They continue to support me, you know, on both ends. So, you know, it's a lot of love. I can't wait to receive it and give it and show my gratitude, you know, but ultimately we're going up there to get a win."

Hamlin collapsed on the field following a hit to the chest during the Bills' Jan. 2 game against the Bengals. Medical staff were able to restore his heartbeat at the scene and he was subsequently rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The 25-year-old was fully cleared to resume his football career in April, though he's been a healthy scratch in seven of the Bills' eight games thus far. He told The Post he isn't sure if he'll play Sunday.

The Bills are 5-3 and sit second in the AFC East behind the Miami Dolphins.
