Ohio has voted to add abortion rights to the state's constitution in a major victory for women's reproductive rights. The vote to approve 'Issue 1' passed with nearly 60% of the vote. Abortion access has been a contested issue in Ohio since the US supreme court overturned Roe v Wade in 2022, sending the question back to the states and leading 16 states to ban nearly all abortions.
