Lions' Montgomery off injury report ahead of contest vs. Chargers

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery is off the injury report ahead of the team's Week 10 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Montgomery missed the club's last two games with injured ribs.

The 26-year-old has been productive when available this year. Montgomery has six rushing touchdowns and 451 scrimmage yards in five games this season.

Montgomery also missed the team's Week 3 game with a thigh injury.

First-round rookie Jahmyr Gibbs has handled the bulk of touches in Montgomery's absence. The 5-foot-9 tailback had the best game of his young career in the team's last game, rushing for 152 yards and a touchdown while adding another 37 yards on five receptions.

Center Frank Ragnow is also off the injury report after missing one game with toe and calf injuries, while guard Jonah Jackson is slated to return from a three-game absence after recovering from an ankle injury.
