Ontario transit service wants inspectors to fine 6,000 train riders a month for fare evasion

Metrolinx, an Ontario-run public transit agency, introduced a monthly target for fare evasion fines in September, according to an employee who was not authorized to speak on the matter. The agency says the policy is being applied fairly to all riders and that employees are receiving anti-bias training.
