The Las Vegas Raiders claimed former New England Patriots cornerback Jack Jones off waivers Tuesday, Jones' agent told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

The Patriots released Jones after he played just 10 snaps in the team's 10-6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound cover man joins a Raiders secondary led by Marcus Peters and Nate Hobbs at cornerback and Tre'von Moehrig at safety. Las Vegas is allowing 198.7 passing yards per game through 10 contests - the eighth-best mark in the league.

The 25-year-old's behavior and engagement weren't up to par while the team was in Germany for the contest against the Colts, a source told Boston Sports Journal's Mike Giardi.

Jones, a fourth-round pick in the 2022 draft, had previously been disciplined by the team before his release. The corner had missed rehab sessions and talked back to head coach Bill Belichick in January, according to NBC Boston's Albert Breer, which resulted in the team suspending Jones.

He was also benched to begin the club's Week 9 matchup with the Washington Commanders, according to The Athletic's Chad Graff.

In addition to his issues with the team, Jones was arrested on gun charges in June after bringing loaded, unregistered weapons into Boston Logan Airport. Jones agreed to one year of probation and community service in exchange for the charges being dropped.

Jones previously played for Long Beach Polytechnic High School and Arizona State at the same time current Raiders interim head coach Antonio Pierce was on the coaching staff for each team.

Jones has two interceptions, seven pass deflections, a forced fumble, and 42 total tackles in 18 career games.
