Stefon Diggs: 'I'm not responsible' for what brother Trevon says
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs stomped on any controversy caused by his brother Trevon's postgame tweets following the Bills' dramatic 24-22 loss to the Denver Broncos on Monday night.
The Dallas Cowboys cornerback, 25, tweeted Monday night that his brother needs to get out of Buffalo, following it up with another comment suggesting that Josh Allen didn't find success until Stefon Diggs showed up. But, the Bills pass-catcher told reporters Thursday that his brother's tweets don't represent his sentiments.
"I'm not responsible for how other people feel," Diggs said, according to Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN. "Anybody in this room for this manner, a reporter, a player, even my own brother. I love my brother. In the space that my brother's coming from is my family. So, you want to know how he feels? You got to take it up with him."
He added: "I can't combat or answer all the questions as to why, with people in the world saying X, Y, Z."
Stefon Diggs, 29, said he hasn't talked to Trevon about the tweets but chalked it up to his brother commenting on the events from "more of a fan perspective." The younger Diggs brother hasn't suited up for the Cowboys since tearing his ACL earlier this season.
The receiver, however, was upset that his brother's remarks sparked concerns about his relationship with the Bills. There was a lot of speculation about Diggs' future in Buffalo over the offseason before he patched up his relationship with the front office ahead of the 2023 campaign.
"I've never really said anything about being unhappy or any instance of that," Diggs said. "So, when you're drawing conclusions as to stuff I've never said, that's what kind of troubles me because it kind of throws a wrench in it. It kind of creates chaos where I haven't created (it)."
The Bills are in the midst of a difficult season. Three losses in their last four games dropped their record to 5-5. The franchise fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey earlier this week.
