Report: Rams' Kupp day-to-day with sprained ankle
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp is considered day-to-day after spraining his ankle during Sunday's 17-16 win over the Seattle Seahawks, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The 30-year-old is dealing with a low ankle sprain, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Kupp sustained the injury in the second quarter and limped off the field before walking to the locker room. He was on the sideline in the second half but didn't re-enter the game.
The former Super Bowl MVP has caught 24 passes for 375 yards and one touchdown through six games this season. He missed the campaign's first four games due to a hamstring injury he suffered at training camp.
An ankle injury also sidelined Kupp in 2022, as he missed the season's final eight games with the Rams out of playoff contention.
Kupp has played only two full seasons since entering the NFL as a third-round selection in 2017. When healthy, however, the Eastern Washington product has established himself as one of football's premier receivers. He posted a historic 2021 campaign, leading the league in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdown catches while helping the Rams win Super Bowl LVI.
The 4-6 Rams visit the Arizona Cardinals in Week 12.
If Kupp misses time, Los Angeles will likely continue to rely on rookie receiver Puka Nacua, who leads the team with 69 catches for 897 yards and three touchdown receptions on 103 targets. Tutu Atwell ranks second on the Rams with 57 targets in 2023.
